We produce estate Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir that showcase our oustanding vineyard site and the many details of each specific vintage. While total production is around 3,500 cases per year, many of our wines are produced in micro-batches of 100-200 cases.
The majority of the cellar work is done by in-house winemaker Dave Petterson. A former cartographer, Petterson has been making wine since the late 1990's. He joined Vista Hills in 2007 after nearly a decade of work as assistant winemaker at Panther Creek Cellars in McMinnville.
Vista Hills only sources from its own estate, crafting wines from the very vineyard rows we know best. A variety of clones and variations in vine age and exposure allow for a broad spectrum of flavor within a single varietal. The work we put in in the cellar aims to showcase our oustanding site and its tremendous personality.
