Kona Plantation

The Dundee Hills are not the only slopes Vista Hills farms. For the past fifteen years, our owners the McClintocks have overseen a five-acre plantation that produces both cacao and coffee. At approximately 900 feet in elevation atop volcanic soil, the setting is ideal. Family-owned Greenwell Farms grows, harvests, processes, and roasts the coffee, among the smoothest and fullest around. The Kona area is to coffee as the Willamette Valley is to Pinot Noir - a perfect blend of climate, topography, and soil structure.

Original Hawaiian Chocolate handles the roughly 100 cacao plants on the plantation. The farm is the only place in the nation where cacao is both grown and processed. The milk and dark chocolate bars are truly unique, the only kind in the nation made from cacoa grown entirely in the United States. This single-origin crop offers an unrivaled flavor and sense of place.
